About Us

Who is
Hamilton 100

Hamilton100 is a broad-based coalition of sport organizations, educators, social development agencies, businesses and dedicated city builders who have joined together to bring the 2030 Commonwealth Games to Canada.

As groups and individuals we are united not only by our interest in sport, but by our commitment to leverage the public interest in sport and the resources of the Games to transform our city, inspire our nation, and build a better Commonwealth.

We understand that many people will see the Games as a simple sport event. We see it differently. For Hamilton100, the Commonwealth Games are an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people both in this city and beyond, particularly those who are marginalized and who need the support that Games legacies can provide.

In this regard, we are inspired by the Global Goals for Sustainable Development (globalgoals.org) that the United Nations and its member countries have identified as being the key to ending poverty, fighting inequality and addressing the urgency of climate change.

The Commonwealth Games – which are known around the world as “the games with a social conscience” – are the perfect vehicle for promoting these goals. If you share this vision, we invite you to join us in our campaign to bring the Games back to Hamilton in 2030.
